Students In Action

Students in Action NJ is the high school youth leadership development program of the New Jersey State Governor’s Jefferson Awards for Public Service. The program includes a structured leadership curriculum and conferences for high school students, with an awards program that recognizes the achievement of the 7 goals supporting outstanding service by students.

Through the 7 Goals for Students in Action, student leaders grow their leadership skills and expand a culture of service in their high schools. The curriculum is delivered through regional conferences and in-school meetings, wehre students will explore topics including: Understanding Self and Values, Working as a Team, Communications, Critical Thinking, Marketing, and more. Students have collaborative opportunities with students from other schools, and may compete to be selected to represent New Jersey in the national competition.
